Getting to know Stacia Alexander

I opened my practice over 20 years ago with the goal of reaching people who would never dream of going to counseling. Back then, finding a counselor was much harder, especially African-American counselors. As a “black girl” who blazed the path onto insurance panels, resource directories, and platforms, I established a practice to help people understand the importance of mental health. I hold a PhD in Clinical Psychology from Walden University and a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from Amberton University, which have equipped me to provide compassionate, informed care. Mental health advocacy has been a blessing in my life, and the gift of helping others overcome experiences that limit their peace remains a passion I continue to fulfill in my office near downtown Dallas or through virtual sessions.
