Hello, it’s good to connect with you. I’m Stacie Brethauer, a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I support adults who are feeling overwhelmed, navigating life transitions, or looking to feel more grounded and connected in themselves. My approach is relational, practical, and tailored to you—I listen closely, offer tools that are useful in everyday life, and create a space where you can slow down and make sense of what you’re going through. In our first session together, here's what you can expect In your first session, you can expect a space that feels calm, welcoming, and grounded—where you don’t have to have everything figured out before you arrive. We’ll start by talking about what’s been weighing on you and what led you to reach out. You can share as much or as little as feels comfortable. My role is to listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and help you begin making sense of what you’re experiencing. Rather than rushing into solutions, we focus first on understanding—what’s happening, what’s been difficult, and what matters most to you right now. From there, we begin to identify what would feel most helpful moving forward, whether that’s gaining clarity, building practical tools, or creating more steadiness and connection in your daily life. Many clients leave the first session feeling a bit more settled, supported, and clearer on their next steps. The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions What stands out about my approach is the way I balance clinical expertise with a deeply human, relational presence. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. Instead, I listen carefully, attune to your experience, and tailor our work so it feels both meaningful and practical in your daily life. Clients often share that our work feels grounding—that they can be fully themselves without pressure or pretense. I focus on helping you make sense of what you’re going through, while also offering tools and strategies that create real, sustainable change.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
