Stacy Benedict, LPC

Psychotherapist
TX
Hi there, I'm Stacy! Whether this is your first step or the last in your goal towards healing, I am pleased to be here with you. I specialize in working with individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, women's issues, and many other areas. My approach is client-focused, so I will tailor my interventions to your unique needs. I find it important to hear your stories, learn your individual strengths, and develop strategies to build upon those, as well as learn new coping skills. My approach I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy, depending on your needs, to help you work towards meeting your goals. Together, we will challenge problematic thought processes and rewrite your story to help you become yourself again or for the first time. I strive to create a warm and supportive environment in which you will feel heard. I find that setting clear goals early on is the best approach in assisting you in finding solutions to your problems. My focus I am pleased to serve the Hispanic/Latinx community and run a multicultural practice. I am also a strong ally of the LGBTQIA+ community. Together, we will work towards conquering your anxiety, depression, trauma, self-doubt, chronic illness/pain, and life transitions. My communication style I want you to feel supported and understood during our sessions. I am non-judgmental and open, and I want to know that you can share whatever you need to get off and out of yourself. My journey to mental healthcare My path towards becoming a therapist started early. I grew up in a multicultural, multi-generational household. There were so many people and personalities, and experiences in my home! There were always grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, aunts, uncles, and cousins in conflict and in harmony. We still loved each other at the end of the day and had our own group and individual rhythms.
