Getting to know Stacy Kador

I’m Stacy Kador, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with approximately eight years of experience in the mental health field and more than 13 years in education. As a former middle school math teacher and school counselor, I have extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, young adults, and families through challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, grief, and relationship concerns. I earned my master’s degree from Adams State University in Colorado and my bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University. I’m also a mother of three, and my experiences in education, counseling, and parenting have shaped my compassionate and practical approach to helping others grow.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I use evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and grounding techniques. I believe therapy should be a collaborative and supportive process. During our initial sessions, I want to understand your goals, concerns, and reasons for seeking counseling while giving you the opportunity to get to know me and determine whether we are a good fit.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My goal is to create a safe, welcoming environment where you feel heard and supported as we work together to build meaningful skills, strengthen relationships, navigate challenges, and move toward positive growth and lasting change.
