Hi there, I'm Stacy! My name is Stacy Lookout, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Perinatal Mental Health Certified Therapist with over 11 years of experience. I hold a PhD in Mind-Body Medicine from Saybrook College, a Master’s in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling from Langston University, and a Bachelor’s from Northeastern State University. I specialize in Maternal Mental Health, Substance Abuse, Relapse Prevention, Depression, Anxiety, LGBTQ+ issues, Life Transitions, and Phase-of-Life Challenges. My approach is rooted in creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, valued, and empowered to work toward meaningful change. My approach I use evidence-based practices, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Somatic Therapies. My work is person-centered, prioritizing understanding clients’ unique experiences and tailoring therapy to their individual needs and goals. My focus I work with individuals navigating significant life changes, such as new parents facing postpartum issues, those recovering from addiction, or experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, or identity exploration. I am particularly comfortable working with Native American clients, LGBTQ+ individuals, and anyone facing challenges related to life transitions or cultural identity. My communication style I create a warm, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space in therapy. Clients often describe working with me as grounding and supportive, where they feel safe to explore emotions and challenges at their own pace. My journey to mental healthcare My journey to becoming a therapist was deeply influenced by my roots as a Native American woman and my experience working on my tribal reservation. Witnessing my community’s resilience and challenges with mental health, trauma, and addiction inspired me to pursue a career where I could make a meaningful difference.
