Hello, my name is Stavros Delardas.
I'm a Licensed Master Social Worker with experience providing person-centered, strengths-based, individual counseling to clients in need.
I earned a Bachelor of Science in Community and Human Services from the State University of New York, Empire State College. I received a Master's in Social Work from Sacred Heart University. I have had the opportunity to work in non-profit health care for several years, which has allowed me to work in both clinical and community-based settings. This dual approach has helped me improve my clinical practice by developing an enhanced understanding of the many factors that impact us daily. I have experience assisting clients with depression, anxiety, and trauma.
I have received training in several modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which has roots within Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I am also passionate about the perinatal population and have received a Perinatal Mental Health designation. This additional training has allowed me to better support individuals throughout different stages of life.
I am comfortable providing support to any person in need. It is of the utmost importance to me to provide a passionate, empathetic, safe, and supportive space where we can work together to address social and emotional needs, traumas, and any barriers that may be present.
Through my experience, compassion, and empathy, I support and assist those willing to make a positive change in their lives. I specialize in addressing anxiety, depression, and perinatal mental health concerns, with additional training in trauma-informed practice. I am a passionate and driven therapist with a strong desire to help others address their social and emotional needs. You can count on me to offer my best personal and professional experience and skills to help you. Stavros decided he wasn't "experienced enough" to be my mental health provider, did not have the courage to tell me in person, and generally did not listen during our session. At least three times during our session he asked a question which could have been avoided if he had listened to what I just said. If you have patients with abandonment issues maybe don't abandon them?
