While offering trauma-based treatment in her sessions, she truly focuses on the aspects of her clients that need closure and healing. She believes everyone, young and old, can recover from the past and lead their best lives! She believes, that with the right therapist, you can heal from your trauma! She allows her clients to take the lead in therapy, but she is also not afraid to challenge her clients whenever appropriate. While she is a person-centered therapist, positive psychology, CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT, and ACT as some of her therapeutic modalities. She meets you where you are and respects your worldview. Being able to view life from another person’s lens is one of the most important building blocks she will have with her clients as it is imperative to form a strong therapeutic alliance with her clients. She is fully trained in EMDR and believes this treatment modality helps facilitate the processing and healing of trauma. Her areas of expertise also include working with those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. When it comes to offering grief counseling, she is a Certified Grief Counseling Specialist and is trained to provide body-based treatment composed of emotional and behavioral regulation components.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

After you request your appointment, you will be sent an invite link for Brightside Health. You will need to enter your insurance and payment information to confirm your appointment.During your initial consultation we will craft a treatment plan personalized to your needs, and schedule follow-up appointments as needed. You will also be able message me directly at anytime via the messaging section of your Brightside Health portal - a tool where will also track your progress, access resources, and see your treatment plan details.
