Getting to know Stephanie Clavenna

I provide therapy for women navigating major life transitions, including perimenopause and menopause. This stage of life can feel disorienting, leaving you questioning your choices, your body, or even your sense of self. You may feel unseen or misunderstood, even by the people closest to you. With 20+ years of experience and a background in military life, I help women find their voice again. I create a safe, compassionate space so you can move past the "noise". You can feel understood, rebuild your confidence, and move forward with clarity and calm.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Clients often tell me they are surprised by how much they can share, even in our very first session. I strive to create a space where you can bring both the things you feel ready to talk about and the things you have never said out loud. You get to share your unfiltered story without the pressure of having to "fix" it all immediately. I will be your partner as we untangle what has been holding you back and find practical steps toward peace and confidence. My values are at the heart of how I work. I believe in being straightforward and transparent, while also offering compassion and reverence for the trust clients place in me. Every therapeutic relationship feels like a gift, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside women during vulnerable and transformative times in their lives.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My goal is to get to know who you are and hear all aspects of your story. Every client is unique and I want to create a welcoming space for you to share. Many women who I see and talk to feel a loss of confidence because of the hard parts of life transitions, especially in mid-life. They feel confused, question themselves, and can feel alone. I’m here to say it doesn’t have to be this way, and it shouldn’t be. I want to help navigate the questions and uncertainty of this time. To help you understand what you’re feeling and restore your confidence. And to know that you can and will move through this. My goal has always been to offer more than traditional talk therapy, which led me to specialize in Brainspotting and Trauma-Focused CBT— tools that allow us to move beyond the surface and address how stress and transition are held in the brain and body. I also practice narrative therapy to help clients understand what shaped them, release old patterns, and reconnect with their values. My work is always tailored to each client's unique season of life.
