Hi, I’m Stephanie! I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Adelphi University, and my work is rooted in a passion for helping individuals and families feel supported, understood, and empowered. Growing up around Caribbean cultural values, I recognize that conversations about mental health and seeking emotional support can sometimes be difficult to navigate. This perspective has shaped my belief that everyone deserves a space where they feel comfortable expressing themselves, exploring their experiences, and receiving support without judgment.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My professional experience includes working with youth and families involved in the foster care system, using a trauma-informed approach that honors each person's unique experiences, strengths, and needs. I believe in meeting people where they are, building on their strengths, and working together to develop healthy coping skills, strengthen relationships, and navigate life's challenges.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My goal is to create a warm and welcoming space where you feel heard, valued, and supported throughout your journey. I believe growth takes time, and therapy is an opportunity to better understand yourself, build confidence, and discover new ways to manage life's challenges. You don't have to have everything figured out to begin. We can take things one step at a time, at a pace that feels right for you.
