Psychotherapist
NY
Taking the first step toward therapy can feel unfamiliar or overwhelming, especially when you are unsure where to begin. My goal is to provide a warm, supportive, and judgment-free space where you can slow down, feel understood, and begin making sense of what you are experiencing. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor who works collaboratively with clients navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, stress, life transitions, emotional overwhelm, substance use concerns, or simply feeling stuck. I understand that meaningful change is not about becoming an entirely different person; it is about developing a deeper understanding of yourself and intentionally becoming the person you want to be. My approach is compassionate, honest, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. Through my Becoming Framework—Awareness, Acceptance, Intention, and Growth—we will explore experiences, identify patterns, strengthen coping skills, and work toward changes that feel realistic and sustainable. I offer virtual therapy to children, adolescents, and adults throughout New York and welcome you—or your child—to schedule an appointment when ready to begin.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My style is warm, compassionate, collaborative, and honest. I strive to create a space where you feel comfortable being yourself without fear of judgment. I will listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, and gently challenge you when it may help you recognize patterns, consider a different perspective, or move toward meaningful change. I primarily draw from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, and reality/choice therapy. Because therapy is not one-size-fits-all, I tailor my approach to each client’s age, personality, needs, and goals. When working with children and teens, I also involve parents or caregivers when appropriate while creating a space where the young person feels heard, respected, and supported. During our initial sessions, we will discuss what brought you to therapy, how your concerns are affecting your life, and what you hope to gain from our work together. From there, we will identify practical goals and work at a pace that feels supportive and productive. You can expect our sessions to include self-reflection, skill-building, practical strategies, and open conversations that help you develop greater awareness, make intentional choices, and create sustainable growth.
