Stephanie Pennacchia, LCSW

Stephanie Pennacchia, LCSW

Psychotherapist
NY
I earned my Bachelor's degree from Fordham University and went on to complete my Master's in Social Work at Hunter College, City University of New York. My undergraduate studies in theology sparked a deep interest in social justice, which ultimately led me to pursue social work. Before graduate school, I worked with individuals experiencing street homelessness who had severe mental health diagnoses. This experience solidified my commitment to providing holistic, person-centered care that addresses mental health in creative and meaningful ways. In therapy, I approach relationships with curiosity and compassion. I use a collaborative, cognitive behavioral framework to explore your feelings and thoughts. I believe it's important for you to assess our fit, so we will schedule an initial intake call where you can share your therapy goals and decide if I am the right provider to support you in achieving them.

Getting to know Stephanie Pennacchia

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I will reach out to you (either by email or phone) within 24 hours of your appointment request to set up a brief phone consultation (also within that 24 hour window) so that you can ask any questions you may have and so that we can decide if I am the right fit for your therapy needs. We will then schedule time for an initial intake session and recurring weekly sessions after that. Each session is 45 minutes in duration and I see clients virtually over a HIPPA-compliant video call.
