I have been working in the mental health field for almost 30 years as a therapist and school counselor. I have worked with individuals, couples and families in various settings including clinical spaces and within the public school system. In addition to being a Licensed Professional Counselor, I am also a Clinical Certified Trauma Professional and a Certified Addictions-Informed Mental Health Professional. I have experience working with eating disorders including several years working as a clinician at ERTC (Eating Recovery Treatment Centers). Other areas of interest and expertise include anxiety disorders, stress management, mood disorders, childhood disorders, and working with clients on the Autism spectrum. I have experience in working with children on self-regulation techniques using the Zones of Regulation, the 5-point scale and mindfulness techniques. I am trained to teach yoga and mindfulness-based activities for children and also practice yoga regularly. I am a competitive long-distance runner and understand the mindset that is necessary to be a competitive athlete. I also enjoy working with athletes with performance anxiety. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, rock climbing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
