Hi there, I'm Stephanie! My name is Stephanie Spock, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master's in Social Work from the University of Connecticut. I specialize in working with children and young adults aged 5-21. I have many years of experience working in school settings, as well as with clients who have a variety of physical, mental, and emotional needs through a variety of modalities. I am passionate about helping young people develop their skills in areas of need and providing consultation and therapy for those struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism, and other diagnoses. My approach In providing therapy, the most important factor is in-person therapy that focuses on the client's strengths and challenges. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to challenge negative feelings, thoughts, and emotions. Therapy is tailored to the specific needs of each client with a holistic and humanistic approach. My focus I have worked with a variety of clients and client systems. I enjoy working with young people aged 5-21 who face social, emotional, and mental health challenges in school and vocational settings. I have also worked with adults of all ages with diagnoses including anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism, borderline personality disorder, PTSD, and I provide school consultation for IEP, 504, and behavior plans and modifications. Additionally, I offer individual psychotherapy sessions for adults, which I find to be a much-needed service given the current cultural climate, social change, and increasing demand for flexible, quality mental health care options. My communication style The tone of each session is set by the client and paced by me to maintain space and time for exploring thoughts, feelings, ideas, and emotions. The overall environment is quiet, professional, engaging, and thoughtful. I provide reviews and follow-up information before and after sessions to support your progress.
