What should a new client know about working with you?

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and I want you to know that this is a space where you can feel safe, supported, and heard. My approach is collaborative—I believe you are the expert on your own life, and together we’ll work toward the goals that matter most to you. I specialize in helping clients navigate life transitions, manage anxiety and depression, and recover from divorce. These experiences can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face them alone. I use practical, evidence-based tools like CBT, Mindfulness, and Solution-Focused Therapy to help you build coping strategies and regain a sense of balance and confidence. In our first session, we’ll talk about what brings you here, explore your hopes for therapy, and create a plan that feels right for you. My goal is to make this process as comfortable and empowering as possible.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

When we begin working together, my goal is to make the process clear and comfortable: Initial Session – Getting to Know You Our first session is about understanding your story, what brings you to therapy, and what you hope to achieve. We’ll explore your concerns—whether it’s anxiety, depression, divorce recovery, or a major life transition—and start identifying your goals. Collaborative Goal Setting Together, we’ll create a plan that feels realistic and tailored to your needs. I believe therapy works best when it’s a partnership, so your input is essential every step of the way. Evidence-Based Strategies I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you reframe unhelpful thought patterns, Mindfulness techniques to manage stress and stay grounded, and Solution-Focused Therapy to create actionable steps toward progress. Ongoing Support & Adjustment As we move forward, we’ll regularly check in on your progress and adjust strategies as needed. My goal is to help you build coping skills, confidence, and clarity so you can thrive beyond therapy.
