Getting to know Stephen Gomes

I am a skilled Therapist who enjoys helping people find themselves and make the most out of their life. I utilize CBT, Mindfulness, Stoic Principles, Logos Therapy and understand the mind and body connection. I can use the concepts in Neuro-Science to help a person get back on track in their life after sickness or an extended period of isolation. I work best with those who have Anxiety, Depression, or Addiction issues but am trained in Trauma-informed care, which means that I understand how past traumas affect current life experiences and how to deal with them. I started in the field way back in 1994 and have continually improved my knowledge and skills through training, education, and practice with hundreds of clients. In my practice, I focus on listening intently to the person’s story noting cognitive traps or scripts that may not be useful to their progress. Then I help them recalibrate their perspective to learn to experience life with less pain. I also enjoy being able to help motivate my clients to achieve things in their life that they feel out of reach. You will find me thoughtful, attentive, well-read, and humorous as we work together to create the best version that you can be.
