Getting to know Stephen Hogenson

Hello, I am Stephen. I have a passion for helping others find their path. I hold my license in social work. I obtained a bachelor's in psychology, and then a master's in social work; both degrees have increased my skills to live that passion of helping others. I started a master's in theology and have a basic understanding of many religions, but my background is in Christianity. I have some experience in faith-based counseling. I have also served as a member of the Army National Guard and have an understanding of military culture that enables me to better understand and empathize with veterans. I am primarily trained in and use CBT, ACT, and motivational interviewing. I welcome couples and families to therapy, as I recognize not all issues can be solved on the individual level. I have a few years of experience working in mental health crisis response and stand ready to help you through yours. There is light at the end of the tunnel. I look forward to being a part of your journey. I am available through telehealth.
