Psychotherapist
OH
Hello, I'm Steve. With over 33 years of clinical social work and case management experience, I have dedicated my career to helping individuals navigate their mental health challenges and improve their overall well-being. My journey has taken me through various roles, each enriching my understanding and approach to therapy. I spent a decade with the Department of the Army as a family violence therapist, where I investigated intimate partner violence and child abuse, providing crucial treatment services. Following that, I served as a clinical supervisor at a Veterans Health Administration (Vet Center) for two years, supporting our veterans' mental health needs. My role as a VA/DoD Liaison for Healthcare embedded in the Warrior Transition Battalion at Fort Drum, NY, allowed me to transition the total healthcare needs of wounded warriors into the Veterans Health Administration healthcare system nationwide for six and a half years. Currently, I have eight years of experience as the Military to VA Case Management Program Manager, where I continue to support our military personnel and veterans. I specialize in working with individuals dealing with Borderline Personality Disorder, Depression, Family relationships, Medical issues/Physical health, Military/Veteran support, PTSD, Intimate/Romantic relationships, Stress, and Trauma. My approach to therapy is grounded in empathy, understanding, and a commitment to providing personalized care. I believe in creating a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts and feelings, develop coping strategies, and work towards their goals. If you're looking for a therapist who understands the unique challenges faced by military personnel and veterans, or if you're dealing with any of the issues I specialize in, I am here to help. Let's work together to navigate your journey towards healing and growth. Reach out today, and let's start this journey together.
