Getting to know Stephen Simoson

Working together, once you realize your inner power, both therapist and client collaborate to cultivate that strength. For example, I've worked with individuals dealing with self-harm, formerly referred to as cutters or self-mutilation. I have also supported clients experiencing suicidal and homicidal ideation, depression, anxiety, auditory, visual, and tactile hallucinations, paranoia, addictions, relationship issues, trauma and abuse, grief, eating and sleep disorders, self-esteem challenges, bipolar disorder, coping with life changes, attachment issues, body image concerns, and developing healthy boundaries. Counseling is a collaborative process-working together for a better tomorrow. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling from Amberton University.

What should a new client know about working with you?

LPC (Texas) over ten years. My focus of therapy is cognitive (talk therapy). ""I accept you for who you are and where you are at in your life, with no judgment."" Currently, I have over ten years of experience in private practices/ inpatient hospitalizations, and Intensive Outpatient groups. I am a Client-Centered Therapist using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Brief-Solution-Focused therapy and both can be modified depending on your individual needs. One of the therapeutic approaches I use is to assist you in nurturing your inner strengths that you may not be aware exist.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
