Stephen Willmer, LCSW, LISW

Psychotherapist
IA
Thank you for taking the time to read a little bit about me and how I can help you. My 20 years of experience has provided me with more information than any books or education could. Although the education is the foundation for how I help people, time and experience has shown me what works and what does not. If you are seeking therapy you generally have tried all you can to fix the issues on your own. It takes a great deal of courage to outreach for help and taking this step is a commendable one. My primary goal is to meet you where you are at and do all I can to get you where you want to be. We can start right away if you would like or we can meet and have a consultation so I can answer any questions you may have. I specialize in helping people with anxiety, relationship/family issues and addiction. Some of my other experience includes, depression, mood disorders, couples/family issues, major life changes, grief, divorce, domestic violence, parenting, trauma, and adjustments to adult children. I treat clients from an eclectic perspective centered around CBT treatment. I am a certified clinical trauma specialist. I offer appointments 7 days a week to accommodate to my clients scheduling needs. I understand that reaching out for help can be a daunting step, but it's a courageous one. If you're ready to start your journey towards healing and growth, I'm here to support you every step of the way. Feel free to visit my website for more details on my practice:
