Getting to know Steve Loader

I am a licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in Utah. I completed my Master's degree at Liberty University and worked in an outpatient substance abuse section for 6 years, then transitioned to the VA for a couple of years. I work with a trauma-informed mental health mindset, dedicated to supporting individuals and families struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship problems, and trauma. Utilizing evidence-based therapies such as EMDR, Gottman couples therapy, CBT, and DBT.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Everyone has a unique story and deserves an individualized approach to care. Once we decide to work together, we’ll act as partners in your therapeutic journey. It’s important to me that we communicate openly and you feel respected, validated, and heard. I’ll be there to listen to you, challenge you, and support you along the way.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I always start with an introductory session, where you’ll have the opportunity to share your story and what you hope to achieve in therapy. We’ll work together to figure this out! I strive to create a warm, welcoming environment that allows you to feel comfortable sharing and being vulnerable, while also feeling secure. From there, we’ll work together in the sessions that follow to make these goals a reality for you.
