Getting to know Steve McClendon

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 20 years of experience. In addition to being certified as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I also hold certifications as a Master Addictions Counselor, Certified Trauma Specialist, and Psychological Autopsy Investigator. I earned my undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Central Oklahoma and my Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University in Sarasota, FL. I am dedicated to counseling and find great fulfillment in helping others navigate complex emotions, relationships, and life transitions. Throughout my career, I have worked in various counseling settings, including psychiatric hospitals, outpatient mental health clinics, the Department of Corrections, military installations, and private practice. My experience includes individual and group counseling, conducting suicide investigations, crisis stabilization, and addressing substance abuse, post-traumatic stress, depression, and anxiety.

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
