Steven Armstrong, LPC

Psychotherapist
GA
As a therapist, my work is rooted in a deep respect for each person's unique journey. I believe that therapy is not just about addressing challenges, but about cultivating a space where clients can reconnect with their strengths, explore their inner world, and move toward greater self-awareness and fulfillment. I view my role as a collaborative partner in your process of growth and healing. My passion lies in supporting individuals through personal transformation, whether that means navigating life transitions, healing from past wounds, or uncovering new dimensions of self-understanding. I strive to create a warm, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel safe to explore openly and honestly. Together, we can work toward meaningful change and a deeper connection with your authentic self. I earned a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of West Georgia, and I have been practicing since 2019. My therapeutic approach is grounded in both Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and psychodynamic therapy. ACT helps clients build psychological flexibility by learning to relate differently to difficult thoughts and emotions—rather than getting stuck in them—while staying aligned with what matters most to them. Psychodynamic therapy, on the other hand, helps uncover patterns from past experiences and relationships that may still be influencing your present. Together, these approaches support both immediate coping and long-term self-understanding. My goal is to meet you where you are and support you in becoming who you want to be—with compassion, presence, and a deep belief in your potential.
