Hi there, I'm Steven! You deserve to feel safe walking in and walking out. Safety is what makes it possible to try new things and challenge old patterns. As we get to know each other, I'll take genuine interest in your story — mapping where you've been so we can find the way toward wholeness, together. My focus My ideal client already knows what they "should" be doing & finds themselves stuck, not changing, not growing. Laziness doesn't exist. What looks like it is almost always shame. Together we challenge those shame beliefs and take real, measurable steps forward. And if you're shy or nervous, that's welcome here. I'll help you feel empowered. My approach The first two sessions are straightforward: we connect your history to the patterns showing up today, then map your nervous system so you can learn to reset your own distress curve. From there, I work in small, doable changes that fit who you are right now — so you feel your symptoms start to "tune down" quickly. My communication style I'm warm and caring, and I'll still gently challenge the patterns keeping you stuck. I believe in "coming up for air" — room for levity, sarcasm, even some dark humor — alongside intentional, deeper work on limiting beliefs. Sometimes we'll even challenge those beliefs with a little humor. Growth doesn't have to be grim to be real. My journey to mental healthcare Through a lot of trial and error — mostly error — I discovered I have a real knack for understanding human behavior. I still sometimes get lost chasing "healthy," but I'm learning to find beauty in the journey, power in the mess, and value in taking things one day at a time. Now I get to watch my clients grow while I keep growing too. It's mutual. My goals for you Everything I do runs on one rule: simple, not easy. To change, to grow, to evolve — it's simple in theory and hard in practice, and my clients know it. So I set goals that are realistic and stretch you a little.
