What should a new client know about working with you?

I use an eclectic, person-centered approach grounded in collaboration and positive psychology. In our first session, I focus on listening carefully to your concerns and goals. From there, I develop a customized treatment plan tailored specifically to you. Therapy with me is not one-size-fits-all — we work together to identify what will be most effective and meaningful. My work focuses on: Reducing shame Improving communication Strengthening self-trust Helping you build relationships that align with your values

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach is collaborative, structured, and tailored to you. Session 1: Understanding Your Story Our first session is focused on listening. I want to understand what brings you in, what’s feeling stuck, and what you would like to see change. I’ll ask thoughtful questions, but there’s no pressure to have everything figured out. This is about getting clarity together. Between Sessions 1 & 2: Treatment Planning After our first meeting, I take what you’ve shared and build a customized “menu” of evidence-based treatment options that align with your goals, personality, and values. Session 2: Creating Your Plan We review those options together and collaboratively create a treatment plan. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all — you’re part of the decision-making process. Ongoing Work From there, our sessions may focus on: Improving communication and relationship dynamics Reducing shame and self-criticism Processing trauma or past experiences Navigating identity exploration Building practical skills for emotional regulation and resilience Throughout our work, I take a person-centered approach grounded in positive psychology. That means we acknowledge real struggles while also identifying and strengthening your existing resilience and strengths. My goal is not to “fix” you — it’s to help you live more authentically and effectively as yourself.
