And then there’s writer’s block, the faltering of the creative process somewhere in our hearts, our minds, our bodies producing disorders and diseases. Maybe you have lost a loved one. Maybe you’re starting a new relationship. Maybe you want a new job. Maybe you just want change. I believe the remedy is in the beliefs, feelings, thoughts, and behaviors fueling the writer’s block or disease, and I am here to help you navigate through it. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Missouri and Virginia, a National Board Certified Counselor (NCC), a Certified Family Counselor (CFT), and a Certified Grief Counseling Specialist (CGCS). My specialties include anger management, gender identity, grief and bereavement, intimate and romantic relationships, LGBTQIA+ support, life transitions, multicultural and diversity issues, sex and intimacy issues, and spirituality. I also offer SonderMind Video Telehealth for those who prefer virtual sessions. My therapeutic approach is centered around relational reframing, expressive arts, values and spirituality, and understanding personality types. My purpose is to build a therapeutic alliance that we both can be proud of and that can dance to the rhythm of the music we make together. I counsel my clients to be educated consumers, enlisted partners, and encouraged participants in their own health and wellbeing.
