Steven Siaji, LPC

Steven Siaji, LPC

Psychotherapist
TX
I am a combat veteran and served in the Army as a chaplain. I am experienced in providing individual, group, and family counseling to soldiers, veterans, and civilians, presenting with issues such as PTSD, combat stress, addictions, depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, spiritual issues, marital issues, relationship issues, moral injury, and stress-related disorders. My ideal clients are adults, including civilians, veterans, and military active duty members and their families. My approach to care is based on empathy, and I utilize these treatment approaches: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT), person-centered therapy (PCT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and cognitive processing therapy (CPT) for trauma and moral injury. In cases of moral injury, I work with clients to identify their violated moral values and help them find the most effective ways to re-engage with those values in order to defuse morally injurious events and find healing. I also use the acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) modality to help clients deal with negative feelings by accepting them and moving forward. For clients who request it, spirituality can also be integrated into therapy.
