Welcome to my profile! I am thrilled that you are taking the very first step towards "being better." While I believe therapy benefits everyone, it can feel overwhelming at the beginning. That’s why it’s critical to develop a therapeutic relationship with an empathetic, genuine, patient, and attuned therapist who will walk by your side, help you discover your inner wisdom and strength, heal your emotional wounds, and apply practical strategies to resolve conflicts and problems. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from New York University, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support you on this journey.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I primarily work with teens/adolescents, and young to mid-aged adults from diverse cultural backgrounds. My specialties include depression, anxiety, ADHD, relationship issues, sexuality/(gender-)identity, life transitions, trauma and crisis, acculturation stress, and family planning. I am a bilingual (English/Chinese) therapist with years of psychotherapy experience at both community-based clinics and major hospital systems. I am well-trained in CBT/DBT/ERP/ACT.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

You'll be heard and seen, understood and supported. Since there's no one-size-fits-all approach to mental health, I personalize and tailor your treatment with techniques including CBT, DBT, ERP, ACT, positive psychology, psychodynamic, narrative therapy, and a strength-based perspective.
