I provide a safe, trusting, compassionate, and respectful atmosphere to help you reach your mental health goals. I earned my Master's in Social Work from Southern University at New Orleans, which has equipped me with the skills to support a wide range of clients. My approach I take an integrated approach to counseling, including cognitive/behavioral, analytical, DBT, and EMDR therapy modes. My focus I am the product of a diverse, at times conflicting environment, which has made me more insightful to individuals from various cultures and backgrounds. In addition to having degrees in Psychology, Sociology, and Social Work, I have an advantage in treating people from a vast array of backgrounds and cultures. My communication style I create a safe, compassionate, and trusting environment where clients can feel comfortable sharing their innermost thoughts and feelings on their way to reaching their full mental health potential. Clients can feel genuinely seen and heard as worthwhile human beings. My journey to mental healthcare My journey to becoming a therapist started with taking a psychology class in high school. Psychology seemed to explain some of the behavioral patterns in my family. The more I studied psychology, the more I understood its value in helping me and others cope with past and present mental obstacles. I am passionate about helping others because I have personally experienced the frustration of friends and family members not receiving the best mental health care.
