Do any of these describe you: 1) Pregnant or perinatal woman who is feeling overwhelmed or "out of sorts?" 2) Older adult trying to navigate retirement, becoming an empty nester, or other life changes while seeking a "new" sense of purpose? 3) Person in recovery working to live "life on life's terms." If so, we may be a good fit. I am a licensed professional counselor with a Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and extensive experience helping pregnant and postpartum women, older adults, and people of all ages who are newer to navigating recovery. While my approach is eclectic, I gravitate toward solution-focused and cognitive behavioral therapy, grounded in a person-centered Rogerian philosophy. I prefer focusing on solutions rather than "living in the problem," and I am dedicated to walking alongside you as you find your way-you decide the path that takes you there.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Rather than focusing on problems, we establish which goals you would like to set (i.e. what you would like to get out of therapy). Each week, we discuss ways that you can (outside of therapy) chip away at the barriers to get you to your goal! This is not therapy for those that just would like to vent or chat (you can do that for free with friends) rather, it is for those that want to set goals, and do the legwork to achieve them.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
