Hi there, I'm Susan! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois, with a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. My focus in therapy is to help clients feel better, overcome their challenges, and live a more fulfilling life. I specialize in working with depression, anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, job challenges, and health concerns. My approach in therapy is supportive, laid back, understanding, compassionate, and empathetic. I use solution-focused brief therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and person-centered therapy to tailor treatment to each person’s needs. I work with people facing challenges related to their mood, thinking, behavior, relationships, jobs, and health. Many clients come to me struggling with depression, anxiety, and stress. I set a tone of acceptance, non-judgment, and trust so clients feel safe and free to openly share their concerns. I chose this career because I enjoy helping people. It is deeply gratifying to see clients achieve their goals, feel better, and rediscover that spark in their lives. My goal is to collaborate with you in setting clear, achievable goals. I will offer suggestions as needed to support your progress. In our first session, I explain what to expect from therapy and from the platform.
