Hi there! My name is Susan Daub, and I hold a Master's Degree in Counseling from the University of Minnesota Medical School. I am a dually licensed alcohol and drug counselor and mental health therapist with over 15 years of experience in the health and wellness field. I am a creative person and work well with clients who are open to exploring creative approaches in their recovery journey. My approach I work with adults and specialize in anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma, using multiple approaches including CBT, ACT, and IFS. I place special emphasis on co-occurring disorders. Tapping into intrinsic motivation is a primary focus of treatment as we work collaboratively to identify strengths and set and implement goals. My areas of specialization include forgiveness therapy, perfectionism, creative recovery, complex childhood trauma, and productivity coaching. I utilize holistic, eclectic, and creative approaches in my clinical therapy. I continually strive to discover and maximize my clients' potential and increase their motivation to make positive life changes. I believe in a multiple-pathways approach to recovery from substance use and mental health disorders. My focus My clients tend to be creative over-achievers seeking support to make positive changes that enhance their personal and professional lives. I have extensive experience working with clients in the LGBTQ+ community and those who tend to think and live outside the box. I am most comfortable working with clients who have historical diagnoses of anxiety, depression, ADHD, PTSD, and adjustment disorders. My communication style I use a collaborative approach and encourage open communication and mutual feedback. I utilize Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT) tools to guide the treatment process. My clients set their ultimate goals and determine the level of engagement they prefer in and out of sessions.
