Getting to know Susan Delia

I was born and raised in beautiful Washington State. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with a Master's in Social Work from Walla Walla University. Prior to stepping into private practice, I worked in hospice and palliative care, assisting patients and families struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, and loss. Seeking therapy can feel overwhelming, and finding a therapist with whom you feel comfortable can be challenging. It's important to have a safe place where you can explore and share your feelings in an accepting, non-judgmental environment. I draw from Solution-Focused Therapy, which emphasizes discovering and using the resources and strengths a person already has to find solutions to problems. In this approach, clients identify their strengths and future hopes, helping them get unstuck from unhelpful behaviors that keep them from achieving their life goals. My style is warm and humanistic. I enjoy working with individual adults struggling with anxiety, stress, decision-making, low self-confidence, life transitions, and depression. I strive to provide all my clients with a safe, secure, and non-judgmental space to explore stuck areas and instill confidence by empowering them to make positive changes and find balance between their personal, professional, and family lives. I believe our therapy is a collaborative process, and I am respectful of each person's challenges, strengths, and goals.
