Getting to know Susan Egan

I am an LCSW licensed to practice in PA (CW017210) with 25 years of experience. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from Temple University. My approach to therapy is meeting you where you are and forming a therapeutic alliance. While my focus areas are not limited, I often work with anxiety and depression. My approach is eclectic; however, cognitive behavioral therapy is frequently used. Let’s see what works best for you. I do not discriminate and work with clients ages 15 to 90. My specialties, though not limited, include depression, anxiety, and grief. My communication style is very laid back and promotes a calm, nurturing environment. You may even see a dog or cat walk by during our sessions. My journey to mental healthcare began surrounded by empathetic people who encouraged me to choose this path. My goals for you include realistic goal setting, starting where you are, and identifying your strengths. Our first session is a get-to-know-each-other meeting so you can determine if we are a good fit to form a therapeutic alliance.
