Getting to know Susan Hudson

I am an LICSW with a Masters of Social Work from Boston University. I take an integrative approach to therapy, combining evidence-based techniques like CBT, DBT, and mindfulness practices with psychodynamic insight. I believe that therapy is a journey of self-discovery and growth, so we’ll work together to identify the causes of your challenges, develop coping strategies, and create lasting change.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My goal is to help you feel more in control, find peace in your day-to-day, and work towards your goals for wellness. I work with adults and teens who are dealing with issues like anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, or life transitions. Together, we’ll work towards understanding your emotions and behaviors in a supportive, empathetic, nonjudgmental environment. My style is warm, collaborative, strength-based and goal oriented. I focus on a holistic approach to counseling and meeting you where you are at in your process.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Therapy is a partnership, and it’s important that you feel comfortable and heard. In our work together, I’ll provide a space where you can speak freely without judgment, and I’ll support you as you explore your feelings, thoughts, experiences, and behaviors. Everyone has the potential for growth and healing, and I’m here to help guide that process.
