Getting to know Susan Jung
Hello, I'm Susan. I earned my B.A. in Psychology, and M.Ed. and Ed.S. in Counseling from the University of Florida. With over 30 years of experience as an elementary school counselor, I've had the privilege of guiding young minds through their formative years. Additionally, I've served as an adjunct professor at Wesleyan College, sharing my knowledge and passion for counseling with future therapists.
In 2007, I founded my private practice, Winning Strides, where I provide traditional therapy and equine-assisted psychotherapy to clients ranging from ages 5 to adults. My approach is rooted in the belief that everyone has the capacity to overcome their challenges and thrive. I specialize in addressing anxiety, ADHD, children's and adolescent mental/behavioral health, depression, grief/bereavement, life transitions, spirituality, and stress. Whether we're working through overwhelming emotions or navigating significant life changes, my goal is to help you discover novel and more effective solutions.
I live on a farm with my husband, a dog, a cat, and six horses. This serene environment not only enriches my life but also enhances the therapeutic experiences I offer, especially through equine-assisted psychotherapy. My greatest joy comes from seeing my clients grow and become stronger through their therapeutic journey.
