I work with older teens to adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, trauma, and self-esteem challenges. Together, we will build coping skills and create a plan for growth that feels empowering and achievable. My approach I use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to help you identify and reshape unhelpful thoughts. My approach is practical and collaborative, giving you tools to feel more in control. I may also incorporate mindfulness or other techniques to support your unique goals and progress. My communication style I prioritize clear and open communication. I always want to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I utilize active listening and will give you opportunities to reflect on your experiences with you as an empathetic listener. You can expect me to be calm, patient, and transparent. My journey to mental healthcare My journey into therapy began, actually, as a secondary special education teacher years ago. I decided to obtain my master's degree in counseling because I always had the desire to help others. I was a certified school counselor and then obtained my license to do clinical counseling, which I am passionate about. My goals for you I view therapy as a partnership. Together we will set goals that matter to you- whether that is improving relationships, building self-esteem, or pursuing personal growth. As you gain new insights, we will adapt your plan to stay meaningful and supportive as you move to where you want to be.
