Psychotherapist

Hello, my name is Sue Stovall. I'm very excited to meet you and get to know you as we start our therapy work together. My ideal clients are adults with depression, anxiety disorders, and/or trauma history who are looking to overcome feeling stuck in some capacity and are motivated to do the between-session work as well. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and I am here to support you every step of the way. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy for Trauma, mindfulness-based practices, and health coaching skills. These approaches allow me to tailor our sessions to your unique needs and help you develop practical strategies for managing your challenges. A little more about me: I was a paralegal for 15 years before returning to school for professional counseling. I hold an MA and am a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. My background gives me a unique perspective and a diverse skill set that I bring into our sessions. In my free time, I enjoy RVing and kayaking with my husband and two dogs. I'm originally from Indiana but currently reside on the Gulf Coast of Texas. These activities help me stay grounded and remind me of the importance of balance and self-care, values that I strive to incorporate into my practice. If you're ready to take the next step towards healing and growth, I invite you to reach out. Let's work together to create a path forward that feels right for you.
