Clients often report they feel very comfortable and open with me. My goal is to create a safe space and a working alliance from our very first meeting. My theoretical modality is centered on the principles of humanistic theory, which provides a more holistic treatment approach that builds upon a person's skills and positive characteristics to help them attain personal fulfillment. What should a new client know about working with you?

Our first session will be dedicated to understanding your presenting concerns, perceived barriers to treatment, strengths, and goals for therapy. I will explain in detail your rights and responsibilities as a client, what to expect from me as your counselor, and what therapy will consist of moving forward. Using a collaborative approach, you will leave our sessions with an understanding and clarity of presenting concerns and potential solutions for positive change.

This was my first ever therapy appointment that I got to experience. Susana made this first experience extremely comfortable and relaxed, all while getting to some of the main reasons I was there. It was hard for me to push myself into making this appointment, let alone attending it, however Susana left me with no regrets and many more reasons to attend again. If you are feeling anxious or unsure about talking to someone, trust me that the first step is the hardest! Susana acknowledges this and makes sure that your comfort is above all. Don’t be afraid to reach out and get the help you deserve. I highly recommend it!
