Susie Moore, LPC

Psychotherapist
PA
Hello and welcome - I admire you for taking the step to begin therapy, and I look forward to working with you. People decide to come to therapy for a wide variety of reasons: you may be learning to manage a specific mental health diagnosis and the related symptoms; struggling with issues related to grief, loss, or a traumatic event; wanting to get better at navigating challenging relationship or family dynamics; or seeking extra support as you adjust to life changes and transitions. Additionally, some people seek therapy simply for the purpose of self-exploration or to gain a greater sense of purpose, direction, and meaning in their life. I strive to be a warm, genuine, caring, and accepting presence; to meet clients where they are on their journey; to create a safe space to explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences; and to collaborate with clients to set relevant and achievable goals. My counseling style is rooted in a person-centered philosophy, but I also utilize techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and mindfulness. I hold a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Holy Family University, which has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to support you effectively on your path to healing and growth.

What should a new client know about working with you?

During sessions, I place a strong emphasis on active listening, asking open and clarifying questions, and reflecting back what I hear clients saying. I want clients to feel seen, heard, and understood; and for the experience of therapy to lead to greater self-awareness, clarity, and a sense of agency in life. At times, therapy may feel painful, uncomfortable, or challenging, but at other times, it may feel comforting, relieving, inspiring, and even fun. I check in with clients regularly to make sure they are getting what they need from the experience; and also to ask for feedback, and/or suggestions.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
