Getting to know Susie Switzer

I work extensively with people to assist them in improving relationships, managing anxiety and anger, and building self-confidence and self-esteem. I also support those experiencing depressive symptoms by teaching coping strategies and fostering improved thought processes to create lifelong change in your ability to meet your needs. Together, we will identify what's not working and help you return to a baseline that feels right for you. My holistic approach provides tools to support your needs within yourself, your relationships, and your family dynamic. If you're dealing with overwhelming emotions, hurtful relationship issues, or cycles of anxiety and depression, I'm here to help. I also have many years of experience working with individuals with Autism and am skilled in all Applied Behavioral modalities. When someone seeks therapy, it's a huge leap of faith toward asking for help-something I deeply respect and admire. I provide a non-judgmental, compassionate space for you to heal and grow. In our sessions, I will always meet you ?where you are? and offer strength-based solutions through evidence-based techniques so you can overcome challenges and move forward in your life. I hold a Master's in Psychology from Purdue University Global, which informs my thoughtful and effective approach. Let's get started!

What should a new client know about working with you?

If you choose me as your therapist you can expect a highly interactive experience. You will always be in the lead of your treatment. I am truthful and open and expect truthfulness and openness as well from you. I am not fluffy, I am a lets get this started kind of person so I can provide as much support as possible so you can move forward quickly. I employ many types of therapeutic systems and interchange them to maximum treatment and support. I LOVE feedback from you so we fine-tune sessions and maximize our time together. I am a very interactive therapist and hope to be a person you can rely on to meet your therapeutic needs.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Simply amazing.
Susie is direct and incredibly good at what she does. She’s smart, patient and easy to talk to. I look forward to our sessions every week.
Susie came into our lives at the right time…she has led us to some amazing support for our daughter. And she is helping us set boundaries with our kids…
Susie has such a sense of seeing what I’m lacking in seeing when I’m explaining situations to her. She dives right in with what is wrong and nails it every time. I am usually speechless.
