Psychotherapist

I support clients who are looking to understand themselves better, clarify their values, and make strides toward their desired life. I have extensive experience helping clients through eating disorder recovery (including anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, and ARFID), body image concerns, anxiety, grief and loss, and life transitions. I believe change is possible for every individual and that it's easier to attain with support, skills, and encouragement. I value change, curiosity, and compassion and strive to provide a non-judgmental space. I hold a Master's in Counseling Psychology from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, which has enriched my approach to therapy by integrating creativity and insight. No matter how big or small your challenges feel, they are worthy of a safe space and support. If you resonate with my bio, please reach out-I'd be happy to connect. I am in network with Cigna, Aetna, and BCBS PPO plans.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I whole heartedly believe in the process of therapy and the importance of the therapeutic alliance. I am trained in many modalities, including ACT, DBT, and CBT, and utilize the approaches that work best for you. I am passionate about body liberation and work from a health at every size (HAES) and weight-neutral framework. I am a board certified registered art therapist and integrate art therapy for those interested.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I see clients who live in Illinois through a secure Telehealth platform. After confirming your appointment time, you will complete paperwork through an online portal and receive a link to our session the day of your appointment. An intake appointment is 55 minutes in length. During that time I will ask more about what brings you to counseling at this time in your life and what your goals are. If it feels like a good fit we will establish a treatment plan and discuss your preferences for therapy approaches. It is common to be excited or nervous for a first session, and I commit to being non-judgmental and helping to make the experience as comfortable as possible.
