Suzanne Anderson, LMFT

Psychotherapist
FL
Hi! My name is Suzanne Anderson, LMFT-S. Life can sometimes seem like a difficult road when you feel like you are traveling alone. Whether you're experiencing the normal stress of daily living or you have faced a traumatic event in your life, my goal is to partner with you in moving toward health and healing. My approach is client-centered and solution-focused to empower my clients to heal and achieve their goals. I have over 10 years of experience and extensive training in treating PTSD, as well as other common co-occurring symptoms including grief, anxiety, and depression. I have worked with trauma survivors, both children and adults, who have experienced child abuse, sexual abuse, domestic violence, and other types of trauma. As a trauma-focused therapist, I understand the effects of secondary (vicarious) trauma and have a passion for working with First Responders and Mental Health providers as well. I am trained in several specialized and evidence-based treatment modalities, such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy), TF-CBT (Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), and DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy). I earned my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. Facing pain, fear, and considering a change can be scary. I would be honored to walk alongside you and provide a safe place to work toward healing.
