Getting to know Suzanne Trezevant

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois, holding a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Illinois Chicago. I work with individuals to help manage mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, relationship challenges, family dynamics, stress, self-esteem, anger, and past trauma.

What should a new client know about working with you?

It is not an easy decision to seek therapy. Change is scary and can feel uncertain. Fear of vulnerability as well as social stigmas around therapy are normal and can present resistance to entering therapy. Know you are not alone. I believe trust is key to therapy. I bring my real, imperfect self into sessions, using honesty and humor to create a safe space. My approach is warm and supportive, tailored to your needs. Whether you’re managing stress, building self-esteem, or processing trauma, I’ll help you find simple, effective ways to move forward at your own pace. Everyone’s journey is different, so I’ll meet you where you are—without judgment.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The first few sessions are spent getting to know each other to see if we will be a good fit working together. We will talk about what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain. I use practical, proven approaches, but my focus is on what works best for you. If you're ready to take the next step, I’d love to help you get started.
