What should a new client know about working with you?

Starting therapy with me means entering a safe, confidential, and non-judgmental space tailored for open dialogue. As a multicultural therapist, I bring a wealth of diverse experiences and insights that honor and understand the complexities of various backgrounds and life stories. Throughout our sessions, you're encouraged to share candidly, confident in the knowledge that your trust and privacy are paramount to me. Our therapeutic journey will be a collaborative endeavor, rooted in mutual goal-setting and strategies that resonate with your unique circumstances. I wholeheartedly believe that change, though sometimes daunting, is inevitable; and it's through navigating these changes that resilience is fostered. Approaching therapy holistically, I aim to understand the entirety of who you are - mind, body, and spirit. Drawing from evidence-based methods backed by research, I ensure our sessions are grounded in proven techniques. Your feedback is vital to our shared journey, and sometimes I may suggest complementary exercises or readings. Commitment to this transformative process plays a pivotal role in the outcomes we can achieve. And while life's unpredictability might occasionally shake our plans, I'm dedicated to being as accommodating as possible. Above all, my practice is a celebration of diversity and the strength that comes from it. As we journey together, remember that reaching your goals and eventually concluding our sessions is a testament to your growth, resilience, and readiness to face life's next chapter with renewed vigor.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The process begins when you schedule your first appointment. Once you have requested the appointment, someone from our office will contact you to confirm your information and send you the new patient paperwork. Once that is complete, your therapist will contact you to introduce themselves and answer any questions you may have before your first appointment. During your first visit, you and your therapist will get to know one another and create a tailored plan for reaching your goals. At the end of the first session, you and your therapist will discuss how often to meet and set up your next appointment. Following your initial session, subsequent appointments will delve deeper into the topics and areas you've chosen to explore, using therapeutic methods tailored to your unique needs. Our approach is collaborative; your feedback and comfort are paramount. Regular check-ins during the course of therapy ensure that the sessions remain aligned with your evolving goals and needs. Throughout the therapeutic journey, we also provide resources, exercises, and readings when appropriate, ensuring you feel supported both inside and outside our sessions. As progress is made, you and your therapist will collaboratively reassess goals and the frequency of meetings, ensuring that you always receive the care and support that's best for you.
