Getting to know Suzette Crouse
I am a licensed mental health counselor and a certified trauma professional who specializes in working with individuals experiencing posttraumatic stress, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, divorce, and other life transitions. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. I entered the mental health field with the desire to empower survivors of trauma to not only recover but to thrive. My background as a former speech-language pathologist makes me especially trained to help clients build communication and interpersonal skills that foster healthy relationships. This must begin, however, by developing that most important healthy relationship—the relationship one has with oneself.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

Suzette makes me feel very comfortable and easy to talk to. It's like having a friend more than having a therapist. It is easy to open up and talk to her.

Suzette makes everything relatable. She also uses meditation which helps a lot to learn to relax. She meets you where you are and brings light and solutions into it.

When I first started on Grow Therapy I attempted to have therapy with two other therapist but it didn't work out. I decided to try one more time and I decided to go with Suzette and I know I made the right decision. I feel safe talking to her. She is helping me to navigate childhood trauma, how to navigate friendships, and romantic relationships. I see progress already! Suzette is very kind, warm, funny and real. She has given me tools that I can apply to my daily life to break thought processes that I have been trying to break for a long time.

I don't know how to only pick two descriptors for Suzette and her capabilities; she embodies them all! She listens to my experiences and dilemmas and offers intelligent insight and potential solutions. She is genuinely sweet and warm, and has a great sense of humor. Her direct questioning helps to challenge my thinking and inspires me to see a different perspective, which is incredibly empowering. I have already recommended her to friends and family :)

I never thought I’d find a therapist that is right for me.. but wow. I get so excited and feel so full and proud of myself and love myself more every time I finish a session. She teaches me amazing coping methods and teaches me the science behind how certain things work in my brain. I love Suzette so much. She’s helped me work through my breakup and self confidence issues so much!
