Getting to know Sybil Hubbard
I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker who received my Master's in Social Work from California State University, Los Angeles in 2006. I work with adolescents, adults, and couples/families. I have worked in various settings, including mental health outpatient clinics, inpatient mental health, state hospitals, detention facilities, and prisons.
I have extensive training and experience working with individuals with persistent mental illness such as schizophrenia, major depression, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, and marital/family issues, to name a few. I have worked for numerous agencies supporting a diverse clientele that ranges across socio-economic, ethnic, and gender lines.
To meet the needs of my clients, I employ a supportive, problem-solving approach which includes utilizing Cognitive-Behavioral, Solution-Focused, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy modalities and techniques as appropriate. My interest is to provide you with an approach that is both evidence-based and personally satisfying.
