Getting to know SydneDion Lampkin

SydneDion’s therapeutic approach incorporates curiosity, creativity, warmth, humor, and collaboration. She’s systematic in the way she addresses the issues troubling her clients and she uses a trauma-informed, humanistic lens to ensure each client feels completely seen and understood. SydneDion believes that therapy is the space for clients to (re)discover who they are and the strengths they have to create the life they desire. She takes a collaborative, coaching position; while she makes suggestions on where therapy could go, clients have the final say in the course of therapy. She has received advanced education in clinical work with couples and families, clinical research, sex therapy, trauma, and grief and loss. Therapy with SydneDion will include writing and experiential techniques such as journaling, mindfulness, breathing, sculpting, drawing, and any interventions that go beyond traditional talk therapy. SydneDion has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with a minor in Sociology, from Xavier University, LA. She earned her Master’s degree in Couples and Family Therapy from Adler University. She is currently working on her Ph.D. in Couples and Family Therapy at Adler University. She is passionate about working with BIPOC individuals, couples, and families. SydneDion’s therapy is LGBTQ+ affirming, gender expansive, and sex-positive. When she’s not seeing clients, SydneDion enjoys watching anime, Marvel and DC movies and shows, reading mangas, playing video games, traveling, and trying new restaurants. She also enjoys spending time with her partner, friends, family, and two dogs, Shadow and Rosie!
