Getting to know Sydnee Franklin

Hi, I'm Sydnee! Are you looking to find ways to make life a little easier or learn more about yourself? I work with teens, young adults, and adults to help them grow in areas they struggle with the most. I enjoy building relationships with my clients and walking with you through life. I have experience working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and those in the LGBTQ+ community. In our sessions, I'll always welcome you with kindness, empathy, and a listening ear. I earned my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Kentucky, which has equipped me to provide compassionate and effective support. Everyone deserves to have a safe place to explore who they are, heal, and become their best self. Let's see if we can do that together!

What should a new client know about working with you?

We will spend our first session getting to know each other and figuring out how we can work together. After that, our sessions are led by you; what's on your mind, what you're struggling with, and what you need from me. I'll teach you new skills to manage daily struggles with occasional homework to help you maintain what you've learned.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.

It's so odd that this platform asks you to define a whole, wonderful, and complex human in just two words/therapy styles. However, Sydnee has been patient, kind, empowering, inclusive, and a life-saving resource for me. Even on days when I don't want to or am unable to dig into the deeper conversations, I know I will end each call feeling confident and supported by someone who has my back and who will be there consistently to walk with me. Everyone has their unique circumstance, privileges, hurdles, and needs. Sydnee feels like the kind of therapist who could meet anyone, anywhere, at any level, and dig in wherever you may need her. As a queer person living in the South, and who has a TON of family baggage (layers of traumatic topics/day-to-day hurdles consistently coming up), Sydnee is a lifeline, a safety net, and an invaluable source of healing.
Sydnee has been absolutely amazing! She’s so thoughtful and genuine and really cares for her clients. She’s helped me work through so much and has never judged me about anything.
