Ever feel like the past won't stay in the past? Maybe it shows up in confusing ways in your present, wrecking your relationships, throwing off your confidence, or leaving you constantly on edge. When you’ve been through difficult times or are carrying trauma, life can quickly become a non-stop loop of anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. It’s that heavy, constant exhaustion of living in survival mode, watching your peace of mind take a backseat to the overwhelm. You deserve to do more than just cope with your life; you deserve to actually live it. I’m Sydney, a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board-Certified Music Therapist. I provide a warm, zero-judgment virtual space for clients across Texas to log on, unpack the heavy stuff, and actually heal. I specialize in working with individuals healing from trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, attachment issues, and low self-esteem. Let's take it one step at a time. What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is entirely client-centered, meaning you are the ultimate expert on your own life. We move at a pace that feels safe, collaborative, and steady for your nervous system. I believe therapy should feel human and real, not sterile or clinical, so you can always expect an authentic, warm, and zero-judgment space when you log on. I specialize in integrating evidence-based trauma treatments like EMDR with creative, music-based therapy. If playlists, lyrics, or playing an instrument is already a major way you cope or process the world, we can seamlessly bring that into our work together—because sometimes, music speaks more than words can. We won't just talk in circles or focus solely on coping mechanisms; we will actively work to help your brain and body process and release what is keeping you stuck. My goal is to help you build real, tangible tools to release anxiety, lift the weight of depression, and get you feeling grounded in who you are.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Because therapy is entirely tailored to you, what a session looks like depends on your unique goals and what your nervous system needs that day. The Initial Session: Our first visit is all about building a safe foundation. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, what you hope to achieve, and map out a collaborative plan for your healing. Talk Therapy & EMDR: In typical sessions, we may use traditional talk therapy to untangle current stressors, or we may use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to actively process and take the painful sting out of old, traumatic memories. Music Therapy: For clients who want to weave in music, a session might involve using specific songs, lyric analysis, or creative expression to access and release emotions that are too difficult to put into regular words. No matter what tools we use, you are always in control of the pace.
