Welcome, I'm glad you're here. It takes strength and courage to reach out. If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply want to feel like yourself again and get back to living your best life, you're in the right place - I'm here to help you. I specialize in helping adults overcome anxiety & depression, heal trauma and gain clarity and peace of mind. I also love helping fellow therapists seeking their own support and inner work. Whatever your background, if you're open, curious, and motivated for change, I provide a welcoming, compassionate space and am confident we'll help you achieve real solutions. A bit about my background: I'm a Colorado native and lifelong musician/guitarist who has toured both nationally and internationally. I was inspired to become a therapist after going through counseling myself helped me overcome depression and anxiety and transform my life. I earned my MA in Counseling Psychology from University of Denver in 2013 and have been trained in a variety of science-backed and evidence-based modalities. In addition, I incorporate my years of experience with meditation, mindfulness and contemplative & spiritual traditions from both east and west to integrate the most effective approaches in healing and optimizing mental health & wellbeing. I have worked with a diverse spectrum of people from many different backgrounds and have experience in a wide variety of settings, including nonprofit, school, community agency, hospital, corporate and private practice. I have been running my own private practice since 2022. I am proud to support clients from all backgrounds, races, gender identities and sexual orientations. In my free time I enjoy playing guitar, reading, being outdoors, the gym, meditation, Qigong and quality time with my wife traveling, exploring new restaurants, or watching our favorite shows.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is warm, compassionate, kind and collaborative. I have a calm, accepting nature that puts people at ease. Clients say they feel safe, relaxed and comfortable sharing with me, and appreciate that I really listen and give them tangible tools & strategies. Working with me, you can expect to make tangible progress from the first session on as we work toward achieving your therapeutic goals. I tailor treatment specifically to your unique personality and strengths. When appropriate, I may suggest extra tools & resources to practice in between sessions to further enhance your treatment and progress. As someone who's been in the client seat myself, I can empathize - I know it can be tough. But rest assured, I'm here to help you every step of the way.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Typically we'll begin by getting to know each other a bit more, reviewing what's brought you to counseling, and the most relevant information from your personal history, including whatever stressors may be contributing to current challenges. I always make sure we discuss any and all issues that are the most important to you in the first session. From there, we'll clarify what success looks like to you in therapy and what you hope to get out of the process. This allows us to set both long-term and short-term goals for progress, and come up with a flexible plan for treatment.
